Day-by-day itinerary
This route is a starting point. Nights, camps and activities can all be adjusted.
Day 1Masai Mara Reserve
7:30 am pick up from accommodation in Nairobi or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA) by your guide as we depart heading south-west for Masai Mara Game Reserve to spend the afternoon game viewing with a picnic lunch. Late afternoon we make our way to Mara Siria for dinner and overnight
Day 2Masai Mara Reserve
Full day exploring Masai Mara Game Reserve in search of the great migration, this day is flexible in that we can either take a picnic lunch or early morning and late afternoon game drives and lunch within the camp. Dinner and overnight at Mara Siria
Day 3Serengeti National Park
Early in the morning, we will have breakfast and depart for Migori, where we will transfer to Tarime. After arriving in Tanzania, we will immediately leave for Serengeti, where we will arrive in time for dinner and overnight stay at Serengeti Heritage Camp. There is also a flight option available for your convenience.
Day 4Northern Serengeti
Full day exploring the northern section of Serengeti National Park in search of the great migration, this day is flexible in that we can either take a picnic lunch or early morning and late afternoon game drives and lunch within the camp. Dinner and overnight at Serengeti Heritage Camp.
Day 5Central Serengeti
After breakfast, we enjoy a full day game viewing in Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch, late afternoon we make our way to central Serengeti for dinner and overnight at Tanzania Pure Tented Camps.
Day 6Ngorongoro Highlands
After breakfast, we enjoy our final morning exploring Serengeti National Park with a picnic lunch. Afternoon we depart for Naabi Hill gate and enter Ngorongoro Conservation Area where we have the opportunity to stretch the legs during a crater rim walk with an NCAA ranger. Late evening we make our way to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge.
Day 7Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, this morning we descend the crater rim for game viewing on the crater floor with a picnic lunch. Afterward, we ascend the 600m high crater walls and depart for Arusha or Kilimanjaro for onward connections. Recommend booking evening flight departing after 18:00.
