Day-by-day itinerary
This route is a starting point. Nights, camps and activities can all be adjusted.
Day 1Arusha to Tarangire
8:00 am pick up from accommodation in Arusha by your guide and depart for Tarangire National park to spend the afternoon game viewing. This evening we have the opportunity for a night game drive offering a different dimension of game viewing as we search for nocturnal wanderers. Dinner and overnight at Boundary Hill Lodge.
Day 2Tarangire to Lake Manyara
After breakfast, we have the opportunity for a morning walking safari, after refreshing we make our way to Lake Manyara National Park with a picnic lunch for game viewing. Late afternoon we leave the park and make our way to Karatu for dinner and overnight at Rhotia Valley Tented Camp.
Day 3Serengeti National Park
After breakfast we depart for Serengeti, climbing The Great Rift Valley escarpment and transiting through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, driving through to the Seronera plains. Game viewing en-route to Tanzania Pure Tented Camps for dinner and overnight.
Day 4 & 5Serengeti National Park
Full day exploring Serengeti in search for big cats, this day is flexible in that we can either take a picnic lunch or early morning and late afternoon game drives and lunch within the camp. Dinner and overnight within Tanzania Pure Tented Camps.
Day 6Ngorongoro
This morning we depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area to make our descent down the crater rim for game viewing on the crater floor with a picnic lunch. Afterward, we ascend the 600m high crater walls and make our way to Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge on the crater rim for dinner and overnight.
Day 7Ngorongoro to Arusha
After breakfast this morning we depart for Arusha Airstrip for our flight to Zanzibar (ETD 13:00 ETA 14:15). Upon arrival in Zanzibar, we will be transferred to The Z Hotel on a B&B basis to spend the afternoon at your own leisure
Day 8 & 9Zanzibar
Full days spent relaxing on the beach, poolside, or exploring the wonderful sights and culture Zanzibar has to offer. Activities can be organized either through the hotel or with some stern negotiations on the beach. Just remember to shop around and get an idea of prices. These days only include breakfast so you have the freedom to be away for lunch or din out and try the many other restaurants Zanzibar has to offer. Overnights at Z hotel (B&B in Zanzibar).
Day 10Zanzibar Airport
Today you will be transferred to Zanzibar Airport for your international flight home
